A Million-Yuan Robot

12/2/2025

A robot weighing almost 8 tons and worth about 900,000 yuan travels from Ningbo to Ufa straight to the shop floor—to boost production. This is what robotization in the real sector really looks like, and it’s exactly the kind of task the Associated Cargo Experts team recently handled.

We’re talking about an industrial robot from the Estun General Large Payloads series—a heavyweight player of Industry 4.0. It works where both power and precision are crucial: lifting massive machine beds and car bodies, handling red-hot blanks in foundries, assisting in the assembly of complex units in mechanical engineering, energy, aircraft and shipbuilding. In fact, it’s one of the key elements of “heavy” robotization, when machines take over the riskiest and most physically demanding tasks.

To make this robot part of the production line, a carefully planned multimodal transport chain was required:

  • by sea from Ningbo to Vladivostok in special engineering packaging with the support of our partner;
  • then by rail along the Trans-Siberian Railway to Yekaterinburg on a specialized platform under constant monitoring;
  • the final leg — on a low-bed trailer to Ufa, “door to door,” taking into account all dimensional and infrastructure constraints.

For ACEX, projects like this have already become a steady trend. More and more often we work with cargoes that are true investments in the future of a plant: industrial robotics, equipment for new production lines, unique project solutions, and technology for green energy.

Robots are changing production.

Logistics helps them get there — on time, intact, and ready to work.
