ACEX Group specialists take part in the development of a logistician profession standard

On October 10th, a development of a professional standard «Logistics specialist» took place in Moscow State University of Railway Engineering for the purpose of state program execution, aiming to create jobs for 25 million people by 2020 and taking those by highly experienced applicants.  

 «Professional standard, describing employment functions, basic knowledge and skills is needed indeed! This is required by business market and employers' market», – Vitaly Androsov, the Head of Department at ACEX Group Domodedovo Airport, commented upon the topic of the roundtable. 

The working party included leading experts in the sphere of transportation and logistics and authorized representatives of co-developing organizations. The roundtable meeting was attended by the representatives of scientific society – MADI, JSC «NIIAT» and practicians from logistics companies: JSC «Russian Railways», JSC «The First Cargo Company», ACEX Group, STS Logistic, JSC «Transcontainer», informational portal – «logistics.ru» and others.  

As a result of discussions and negotiations, there were registered employment functions, qualification levels, requirements to education and learning, necessary skills for the graduates, requirements to the experience of practical work for one of the most actual professions today. 

«There are vacancies on labor market, there are places to work at, and the skills of the applicant have to be explained during the work process. It is important, that the standard shall become not just a formal document, but a good assistant for higher educational establishments and employers. I've made a suggestion of paying attention to the logistician's international economic activity, as this direction is barely described in the standard. Besides, logistics specialist also needs knowledge in psychology (communication), as most of our work is customer-oriented». - confirms Vitaly Androsov.

Basic knowledge, skills and concrete labor activities have been stated in a new standard. After final opinions consideration the Professional Standard Project «Logistics specialist» is included for passage to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. 

 «Logistics specialist» professional standard has been developed for the accomplishment of the decrees of the Russian Federation President No 596 «Concerning long-term state economic policy» of May 5th, 2012 and No 597 «Concerning provisions as for accomplishment of state social policy», according to which, for the purpose of increasing the rates and providing stability of economic growth, it is necessary to create and modernize 25 million high-production jobs by 2020 and provide the above mentioned vacancies with highly experienced applicants.
