ACEX Group has helped to Light the Flame of the Universiade 2013 in Kazan

The Flame of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 was lit in Kazan Arena stadium during the Opening Ceremony of the event, and burned for two weeks due to the unique gas equipment weighing about 3 tons specially delivered from Australia by the experts of ACEX Group.

Transportation was arranged by ACEX in complex: in April, by the beginning of the event, gas-distributing equipment was sent from Australia by air, and after the fire of the Universiade was extinguished, it was sent back by sea and road transport. At Domodedovo airport, on import stage the employees of the company also organized expedited customs clearance according to Carnet ATA without paying customs duties.

A complex gas system supplied for the Flame of the Universiade is a structure that lifts and adjusts the flame to a height of 55 meters above the 6 ton bowl. For lighting and maintenance of the flame, 3 rings of fire were used in the burner protecting it from extinction by strong wind or downpour. The unique structure was made by Australian company FCT Flames, the exclusive developer of the Olympic Flame since 1999.

The expert in container shipping, Anton Vinokurov said: “We are very proud to be taking part in the Universiade 2013. In terms of responsibility, it was a unique project for us. It is very honorable and important to us to participate in the event of such level. We are very pleased that at the moment the Australian partners have only positive feedbacks on the work of ACEX.” On the Torch Relay of the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013: the Torch Relay of the Universiade 2013 was the most large-scale in the history of FISU. Within 365 days, 2,013 torchbearers were in 54 cities around the world, visited 50 largest student centers and traveled more than 150,000 kilometers. During the world tour of the Flame of the Universiade, it covered 45,000 nautical miles and toured all five continents. The culmination of this travel was the lighting of the Flame Bowl at the stadium in Kazan.
