ACEX Group registered a new office in Estonia
3/13/2012
A new office in Estonia is focused primarily on rail transit cargo flows. Estonia has more than 40 thousand km of highways and reliable rail connection with Europe, the Baltic States and Russia, as well as a strong network of ports (in just one Tallinn there are 6 ports!).
The beneficial geographic location of the Estonian office defines its important role in the structure of ACEX’s logistics network. The presence of consolidation points, active cooperation with international partners and broad experience in customs services allows arranging transit multimodal deliveries through this area, as well as project and groupage cargo handling and transportation; import and export operations between the Baltic States and the CIS.
Along with other Baltic and Scandinavian countries, where ACEX Group also has its branch offices, the representative office in Estonia has a few competitive advantages:
-
Quite convenient geographic position in terms of the transit possibilities to Russia and the CIS, which makes the Estonian transit corridor one of the most competitive routes;
-
The unique Sillamäe port with its free economic zone, located just in 25 km from the border between the EU and Russia;
-
Excellent roads without any truck restrictions, typical for the European Union;
-
Highly-developed rail network, as well as ice-free ports, in contrast to St. Petersburg and Finland;
-
The possibility of arranging fast ocean freight deliveries of high volume cargoes from Estonia;
-
Arrangement of container trains from the port of Muuga and Paldiski to the CIS;
-
High level of warehousing facilities’ development, which enables the consolidation of European groupage cargoes, as the EU quota are not applicable to Estonia;
-
Loyal customs regulations for transit cargoes.
The consolidation customs warehouse in Tallinn, where the major part of cargoes, transported by ACEX from/to Europe, is formed – is an additional prominent advantage.
The head of the new representative office is Eduard Käsnapuu, who has 15-years’ experience in logistics and transport.
"Providing high-quality service is the main item we are ready to offer our clients. Groupage and project cargoes delivery, large container shipments by rail, freight forwarding, customs clearance, export and import operations allow to increase constantly the flows of international freight through this region" – the head of representative office says.
